I’m pleasantly surprised by how smoothly our kitchen remodel is going. We braced ourselves for 6 weeks of total misery (it was taken down to the studs and a wall removed) but it’s not that bad!
My advice? Start with a good General Contractor. Having a contractor who knows what they are doing and hires quality craftsmen is so worth every dollar.
The cabinets (which alone were $30k) started going in yesterday.
A friend of mine, asking about the progress, said to me: “It will change your life.”
While that sounds a bit dramatic, I am beginning to believe her, because at the very least it is going to make our kitchen incredibly functional and allow us to sell the house just that much easier whenever we decide to sell.
